6 Useful Things
To Try In Meta Muse

Set it up right in five minutes, then use it for content, audio briefings, your business tools, shopping, interactive trackers and more.

Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. You ask it for something and it does the work on its own cloud computer, even after you close the app. You don't need to be technical at all to get going.

Get it on iPhone, Android, the web at muse.ai, or inside WhatsApp. You need a Meta account and to be 18+ in the US or Canada. The free tier covers most everyday use. Power ($20 a month) and Maximum ($100) are for heavy users.

Set It Up Right First
  1. Turn off training. Settings, then Data controls, then switch off "Help improve our AI models." It's on by default.
  2. Make it ask first. Settings, then Permissions, then set connectors and web to "Always ask." When it asks later, pick "Allow once" until you trust a task.
  3. Check what's already connected. Facebook, Instagram and Threads connect automatically if they share your Accounts Center. That includes access to your posts and DMs, so decide if you're OK with that.
  4. Teach it who you are. Tap the assistant icon, then Identity, then Memory. You can edit what it knows about you directly. Add your job, your goals and how you like answers.
The 6 Things

Every prompt below is in the copy-paste pack at the end of this section.

1. Content help. With Instagram connected (a creator or business account unlocks your insights), ask it to sort your saved posts into collections, pull your top and bottom posts and what they have in common, or draft a post and caption. Tell it to show you before it publishes anything.

2. Audio briefings. Ask it to do something "every weekday at 7am" and it becomes a recurring task. Mine is a short audio with my schedule and the AI news that matters, which I listen to with my coffee or on a walk. Find and edit your recurring tasks under the assistant icon, then Upcoming. You can also make longer personal podcasts on anything you want to go deeper on, and if you link Spotify they land in your Spotify library.

3. Business help. Settings, then Connectors. Meta just added Shopify, Notion, Klaviyo, Asana and Canva, plus Slack, Stripe, QuickBooks and more. Once connected, it can work inside those tools to analyze sales, plan projects and draft emails and designs. Nothing publishes, sends or spends without your approval. For me it's still mostly a personal agent, but if you run a small business and you're new to agents, this is a great first step.

4. Shopping. Give it your budget, your must-haves and what you don't care about, and it browses and compares for you. Connect Link or Shop Pay and it can check out too. Link uses a one-time card number, so the store never sees your real card, and Muse always asks before it buys. Some big stores (Amazon, for one) block it.

5. Interactive tools. Ask for a 30-day habit tracker or a sales dashboard and it builds a working tool you can open in your browser. They save to your Library tab, stay private unless you share them, and you can update one by name ("add water to my habit tracker").

6. The Ideas tab. Stuck on what else to use it for? Open Ideas and it suggests ways to help based on your goals and conversations. The better your Memory, the better these get.

Meta Muse Prompt Pack
MY META MUSE PROMPT PACK: 6 THINGS TO TRY From Learn AI With Mariah. Swap anything in [brackets] for your details. ================================================================ 1. CONTENT HELP (Instagram connected) ================================================================ SORT MY SAVED POSTS Go through my Instagram saved posts. Group them into 5 to 8 themes based on what they're actually about (recipes, workouts, home ideas, business tips, etc). Show me the themes with a count for each and 3 example posts per theme. Wait for my OK, then organize them into collections with those names. RUN MY INSIGHTS Pull my Instagram insights for the last 30 days. Show me my top 5 and bottom 5 posts by reach and saves, what the winners have in common (format, hook, topic, length, time posted), and 5 specific ideas for next week based on that. Keep it to one screen. DRAFT AND POST Here's my idea for a post: [idea]. Write 3 caption options in my voice (short, casual, one emoji max), suggest the best time to post based on my insights, and show me the final version before you publish anything. ================================================================ 2. AUDIO BRIEFINGS ================================================================ MY MORNING BRIEFING (recurring) Every weekday at [7am], make me an audio briefing under 5 minutes that covers: my calendar for today and anything I need to prep, the 3 most important AI news stories from the last 24 hours and why each one matters to me, and one thing from my goals I should move forward today. Talk to me like a friend, not a news anchor. GO DEEPER WITH A PODCAST Make me a [15]-minute personal podcast on [topic]. I already know [what you know]. Explain it like a smart friend, use real examples, and end with 3 things I can do this week. Save it so I can listen on my walk. ================================================================ 3. BUSINESS HELP (connect Shopify, Notion, Klaviyo, Asana or Canva first) ================================================================ WEEKLY STORE CHECK-IN (Shopify + Klaviyo) Look at my Shopify sales and my Klaviyo email results for the last 7 days. Tell me my top 5 products, anything that dropped more than 20% vs the week before, and which email made the most money. Then suggest one email to send this week and draft it. Don't send anything. TURN MY NOTES INTO A PLAN (Notion + Asana) Read my Notion page [page name]. Turn it into a project in Asana with tasks, owners and due dates over the next [2 weeks]. Show me the plan before you create anything. ON-BRAND GRAPHICS (Canva) Using my brand kit in Canva, make 3 versions of a [post / story / flyer] for [announcement]. Keep the text to one short line. Show me all 3. ================================================================ 4. SHOPPING ================================================================ FIND IT ON A BUDGET I need [item] for [use]. My budget is $[X] total, including shipping. Must have: [must-haves]. Don't care about: [things that don't matter]. Find the 3 best options, show me a comparison (price, delivery date, return policy, reviews), and tell me which you'd pick and why. Ask before buying. RESTOCK MY USUALS Here's my list: [items]. Find the best price on each from stores that deliver by [day]. Put it in one cart if you can. Show me the total and wait for my approval before checkout. ================================================================ 5. INTERACTIVE TOOLS ================================================================ 30-DAY HABIT TRACKER Build me an interactive 30-day habit tracker for these habits: [habits]. I want to tap a day to check it off, see my current streak for each habit, and see a completion percentage for the month. Make it clean and simple. Save it so I can open it every day. SALES DASHBOARD Build an interactive dashboard from my [Shopify data / this spreadsheet]: total sales by week, top 5 products, average order value, and a chart comparing this month to last month. Add a short "what changed" note at the top. ================================================================ 6. THE IDEAS TAB (and getting more out of it) ================================================================ FIND MORE USES Based on what you know about me and our conversations so far, what are 5 recurring things you could take off my plate every week? For each, tell me what you'd need access to and how much time it would save me. Rank them. TUNE IT TO ME Read your memory of me and tell me what you think my goals, work and preferences are. Ask me 5 questions to fill in the gaps. Then update your memory with my answers.

How to set it up. Two ways:

  1. Use it now. Copy one prompt, fill in the brackets, and send it in the Muse app.
  2. Keep it. Download the pack and save it in your notes. For anything you want on repeat, like the morning briefing, send it once with the time and Muse keeps running it.
Get More Out Of It
  1. Start read-only. Many connectors offer it. Let Muse report for a week before you let it act.
  2. Give it the file. Upload the actual statement, spreadsheet or screenshot instead of describing it.
  3. Set goals. The Goals tab gives it something to work toward, and it feeds the Ideas tab.
  4. Clean its memory monthly. Deleting a chat doesn't always delete what it learned, so check Memory directly.

Keep your main accounts out of it

It's an agent from Meta with access to whatever you connect. Skip your primary bank and work logins, use "Always ask" on anything that sends or spends, and remember your Instagram DMs are in reach once Instagram is connected.
