The AI Resource
Roadmap

The best free resources to actually learn AI, ordered from the simplest place to start to the deeper stuff at the bottom. The YouTubers, newsletters, courses, and sites I'd hand my past self, plus my whole free guide library.

Before NVIDIA was worth trillions, Jensen Huang realized the technology his company was built on was wrong, bought three textbooks, and had his team teach themselves.

That is the whole game: your edge is not what you know, it is how fast you learn what you do not. So here are the best free resources to actually learn AI, ordered from the simplest place to start to the deeper stuff at the bottom. You do not need all of them. Start at the top and keep going. Everything here is free.

The Roadmap, In Order

Stage 01

Start Simple

Two free things you can use today. My free guide library is plain-English, copy-paste how-tos for real tasks, so start there. Then pick one daily newsletter and learn on autopilot: The Neuron explains AI like a human with zero jargon, and The Rundown AI gives you the news plus a quick daily tutorial.

Stage 02

Learn By Watching

The best free teachers on YouTube. Jeff Su for short, clean tutorials on using AI at work. The AI Advantage for practical ChatGPT and Claude workflows a beginner can copy today. Matt Wolfe to see what every new tool actually does before you waste time on it.

Stage 03

Take A Free Course

When you want real structure. Anthropic Academy teaches you to actually use Claude, free, with certificates. Elements of AI is the friendliest way to understand what AI even is. AI for Everyone by Andrew Ng is the non-technical foundation everyone should have.

Stage 04

Go Deeper And Build

For when you are ready to level up. One Useful Thing, a Substack by Wharton professor Ethan Mollick, is the best free writing on how to actually think about and use AI. Riley Brown shows you how to build real apps with AI and no code. And when you are ready to go from watching to actually doing it, with a plan and a group, take my 30-Day AI Challenge.

The Real Win

You do not have to start as the expert. You just have to be willing to become one. That willingness is the whole edge.
