Build A Shopify Store
From One Chat

Manus just launched a Shopify connector that can build, manage, and grow a store from a single chat. Here are the three exact prompts to do it.

I built my first Shopify store back in 2019. I spent tens of thousands on ads, and hundreds of hours building every piece by hand: every product description, every page, every bit of inventory entered one at a time. All that boring mechanical work stole time from my actual products and bigger ideas.

That friction is basically gone now. Manus just launched a Shopify connector that lets you build, manage, and grow a store from a single chat. Below are the three exact prompts to do each part. Copy them, fill in your details, and paste them into Manus.

Read This First (The Honest Cost)

Two things cost money. The Shopify connector runs on a paid Manus plan (around $20 a month), not the free tier. And to actually take real payments, you need a paid Shopify plan too. Building and previewing your store is free. Going fully live is not. No surprises later.

First How To Connect Manus To Shopify

Setup

Three Quick Things Before You Start

1. Log into manus.im on a paid plan. The connector does not run on the free tier.

2. Start a new chat and describe your store, or pick the Shopify connector. Manus spins up a Shopify development store for you automatically, so you do not even need a Shopify account to start building.

3. When you are ready to go live, Manus walks you through claiming the store. That is when you sign into Shopify (or start a free trial), pick a paid Shopify plan, and connect a domain so you can take real payments.

Worth Knowing

Manus builds a custom storefront connected to Shopify's backend. Shopify still handles your checkout, payments, and shipping. If you already have a Shopify theme you love, Manus adds a new storefront rather than rebuilding that one.

Prompt 1 Build: Describe Your Store, Get A Storefront

This prompt takes your business in plain words and turns it into a full storefront with branding, navigation, and pages. It asks Manus to show you a blueprint first, so you can steer it before it builds.

The build prompt

You are my e-commerce store builder. Build me a complete Shopify development store from this brief. MY BUSINESS - Business name: [YOUR BUSINESS NAME] - What I sell: [e.g. hand-poured soy candles in 6 scents] - Price range: [e.g. $18 to $34 per candle] - Brand vibe in 3 words: [e.g. cozy, modern, calm] - Target customer: [e.g. women 28 to 45 who buy gifts and self-care items] - What makes me different: [e.g. small batch, non-toxic, refillable jars] DO THIS 1. First, draft a one-page store blueprint: the homepage layout, the navigation menu, and the list of pages you will create. Show it to me before you build anything. 2. Then build the storefront: branding (colors and fonts that match my vibe), a homepage with a hero section, a main navigation menu, and these pages: Home, Shop, About, Contact, FAQ, and Shipping and Returns. 3. Create 4 sample products with names, prices, and short descriptions so I can see the layout. 4. Make sure there is a working cart. RULES - Keep all copy simple, warm, and plain. No jargon. - No fake reviews, no fake claims, no health promises. - Stay on brand with my 3 vibe words. FORMAT: Show me the blueprint, then build, then give me a checklist of what you created and what I still need to add (real products, photos, policies).
Prompt 2 Manage: Spreadsheet To Product Pages

This is the one that saves the most hours. Drop in a spreadsheet of your products plus a folder of images, and Manus writes every listing in your brand voice and sets your inventory. The prompt tells it exactly which spreadsheet columns to expect so nothing gets mismatched.

The manage prompt

You are my store catalog manager. I am attaching a product spreadsheet and a folder of product images. Turn them into finished product listings in my Shopify store and sync my inventory. MY SPREADSHEET HAS THESE COLUMNS (use them exactly) - SKU - Product Name - Category - Price - Inventory Count - Key Features (comma separated) - Image Filename (matches a file in the image folder) DO THIS 1. Match each image to its product using the Image Filename and SKU. 2. Write a product description for each item in MY BRAND VOICE: [describe your voice, e.g. friendly, confident, no jargon, short sentences, a little playful]. Each description is 2 to 3 short paragraphs plus a 3 to 5 bullet feature list. 3. Write a short scannable product title and a short SEO description for each. 4. Group products into collections using the Category column. 5. Set each product's inventory to the Inventory Count from the spreadsheet. Mark anything at 0 as out of stock. RULES - Only use facts from my spreadsheet. Do not invent specs, ingredients, or claims. - If a row is missing data or an image will not match, list it for me instead of guessing. FORMAT: Give me a summary table (SKU, title, inventory set, image matched yes or no) and a list of any rows you could not complete.
Prompt 3 Grow: Sales Data To Campaigns

Once you have sales, this prompt has Manus read your Shopify data, find your best sellers, and build a real campaign around them. Pick one channel so it goes deep instead of spreading thin.

The grow prompt

You are my growth marketer. Read my Shopify store's sales and product data, then build a campaign around my best sellers. DO THIS 1. Pull my top 3 best-selling products from the last 30 days, by units sold and by revenue. Tell me which 3 you picked and why. 2. For EACH of the 3 products, build a campaign for [PICK ONE: Instagram / TikTok / Facebook ads / email]: - 5 scroll-stopping hooks (the opening line) - 3 ready-to-post captions, each with a clear call to action - 3 ad angles (the different reasons a customer would buy: gift, problem-solving, status, value) - 5 relevant hashtags if it is social 3. Suggest one discount code idea and the offer (e.g. 15% off the top seller for 72 hours). 4. Give me a simple 7-day posting calendar that ties it together. MY CONTEXT - Target customer: [your store's target customer] - Brand voice: [your voice words from before] - Goal of this campaign: [e.g. more first-time buyers, or clear slow inventory] RULES - Honest marketing only. No fake urgency, no false scarcity, no claims you cannot back up. - Match my brand voice and keep it plain and simple. FORMAT: One section per product, then the 7-day calendar at the end as a table (Day, Channel, Post type, Hook).
