Claude can now record your screen and turn it into a reusable Skill. Here's the exact flight Skill to steal, plus how to record your own.

Claude can now record your screen while you do a task, listen to you talk through it, and turn the whole thing into a reusable Skill it can run again. You teach it once. It remembers forever.

Here's both halves: the exact flight-booking Skill to copy or download, and how to record your own. For context, the person who built Claude Code put his travel preferences into Claude Cowork and had it book eight flights and five hotels while he worked on something else. This is your version of that.

How To Record A Skill

"Record a skill" lives inside Claude Cowork in the Claude desktop app for Mac, on Pro, Max, and Team plans. Here's the flow:

  1. Update to the latest Claude for Mac and open Cowork.
  2. First time only: grant macOS Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions.
  3. In the + menu, choose Record a skill, then Start recording (leave your mic on).
  4. Do the task the way you normally would, and talk through your reasoning, why you skip a step, how you pick between two options. That's the part Claude can't see.
  5. Click Done. Claude reviews the recording and proposes a Skill for you to review and save. Your raw video isn't kept.

Recordings run up to about ten minutes, so keep each one to a single, clean task.

My Flight Booking Skill

Here's the actual Skill. Copy it, or download it as a ready-to-use file, then fill in the brackets with your real preferences. This is what turns "find me flights to Tokyo in October" into Claude already knowing exactly how you decide.

Before final payment, show me the full total and WAIT for my explicit "yes." 4. Never enter payment or charge anything without my confirmation. Never store my full card number in plain text. ## Example Me: "Find me the best flights to Tokyo in October, the 8th to the 16th." You: apply the rules above, then show a shortlist and ask me which to book.

Two Safety Gates

Never let an AI spend money without you. This Skill makes Claude stop twice: once to confirm which option to book, and again before final payment. Keep full card numbers out of the file, reference a secure store instead.

Save It, Then Forget It

Once you've recorded or pasted a Skill, it lives with your Claude setup and triggers itself when a request matches. In claude.ai you add a Skill as a zip under Settings, and in Claude Code it's a folder in your skills directory. One heads-up: Skills don't sync across surfaces, so a Skill you add on claude.ai isn't automatically in Claude Code. Learn the full system in the Agent Skills docs.
