There are 398 official Claude connectors right now. Most people are using 3. Here are the 10 worth the 20 seconds it takes to install each one, with the exact prompts I run on them every week.
First, what a connector actually is
A Claude connector is a 1-click bridge between Claude and an app you already use. You pick the app, sign in once, and from that point on Claude can search inside it, pull from it, or take action in it. No code. No API. Available in every chat.
Most are free. The ones that aren't have a free trial or are tied to a paid plan on the app's side (not Claude's). And Anthropic is shipping new ones constantly. As of this week there are 398 across 30 categories.
The whole game is this: the more connectors you install, the more your Claude chat starts to feel like an assistant who actually knows your life.
Same flow every time. Once you do it once, you'll do it on autopilot for the rest of the list.
Step 01
Open Claude. Hit the “+”
Inside any chat, hit the plus icon at the left of the message bar. A menu pops open.
Step 02
Click Connectors, then Add connector
You'll see the directory. You can search by name or scroll the categories on the left (Jobs, Travel, Finance, Productivity, etc.).
Step 03
Pick the app. Sign in.
It pops a normal sign-in window for that app. You log in like you'd log into anything else. Claude gets read or action access on your behalf.
Step 04
Done. It's live in every chat.
You don't have to re-enable it. From now on, when a chat needs that app, Claude will use it. Repeat for every connector on this list.
Privacy note
You can disconnect any connector at any time from the same menu. Your data isn't used to train models on consumer Claude when you have the right privacy settings on. Full walkthrough on that is in Is Claude Safe.
Each one below has the same shape. Who it's for. What it does. The exact prompt I run on it. Why it actually matters.
Connector 01
ZipRecruiter · for job hunters
Search live openings, rewrite your resume for a specific posting, and draft the cover letter all in one chat. Sits in the Jobs category alongside Indeed, Dice, Workable, and Metaview.
Try this
Pull the top 10 product manager roles in Austin from ZipRecruiter that match my resume (attached). For the best 3, rewrite my resume specifically for that listing and draft a cover letter that mirrors the job description's tone. Why it matters. A 4-hour job search session compresses to 20 minutes, and every application is tuned to the listing instead of generic.
Connector 02
AllTrails · for weekend hikers
Pulls live trails by distance, elevation, vibe, and difficulty. Includes current weather and a packing list for whatever you pick.
Try this
Find me 3 moderate hikes within an hour of Salt Lake City for Saturday morning. 5 to 8 miles, under 1500 feet of gain, scenic, not crowded. Give me the trail names, AllTrails links, the weather forecast, and what to pack. Why it matters. Trail research drops from 30 minutes of scrolling and forum reading to a single chat with an answer you can actually trust.
Connector 03
Resy · for date night planners
Searches restaurants by date, time, neighborhood, and vibe. Books the reservation when you find the one. No more 20 open Safari tabs.
Try this
Find me a 7pm reservation Saturday in Brooklyn. Romantic, under $80 per person, somewhere we haven't been (I'll attach our last 5 reservations). Book the best one.Why it matters. Replaces the “where should we go?” doom-scroll with one chat. Your partner thinks you put more effort in than you did.
Connector 04
Instacart · for anyone losing an hour to groceries
Hand Claude your meal plan. Your full cart gets built in Instacart. You hit checkout.
Try this
Build me an Instacart cart for this meal plan: (paste plan). Use Trader Joe's, stay under $200 total, and add a backup option for anything that's out of stock. Pull from my last 5 orders for the staples I always buy.Why it matters. Meal planning and shopping in one chat, on a Sunday morning, in 10 minutes flat.
Connector 05
Expedia + Booking.com · for trip planners who dread it
Flights, hotels, and a real day-by-day itinerary that actually respects your budget. The two travel connectors stack: Expedia for flights and packages, Booking for hotels and apartments.
Try this
We're going to Lisbon for 5 days next month. Budget $2500 total for 2 people. Find flights from JFK, a centrally-located hotel under $250 a night, and build a 5-day itinerary mixing food, walks, and one day trip. Book the flight that fits best. Why it matters. Replaces 6 hours of Reddit research with one chat. Itinerary is built around your actual budget, not the cheapest defaults.
Connector 06
Plaid + TurboTax + Credit Karma · for side hustlers
Connect your bank through Plaid. Claude can categorize transactions, surface deductions, and hand off to TurboTax for prep. Credit Karma rounds out your full financial picture.
Try this
Pull my transactions from January 1 to today. Categorize anything that's a likely business deduction for my freelance writing income. Sum them up and tell me 3 categories where I should be saving more receipts before year end.Why it matters. Tax prep becomes a real-time habit, not a panicked April scramble. Side hustle profitability stops being a mystery.
Connector 07
Canva · for people designing their own content
Connects your Canva brand kit. Claude generates a full batch of branded posts using your templates, fonts, and colors. You edit lightly and ship.
Try this
Use my Canva brand kit and the “Weekly Tips” template. Generate 5 Instagram graphics on small business AI workflows. Each one needs a strong hook line, body text under 30 words, and a CTA. Match the voice of my last 10 captions (attached). Why it matters. 3 hours of designing turns into 10 minutes of prompting and 20 minutes of light editing. Your brand stays on-brand because Claude is pulling from your kit, not making it up.
Connector 08
Notion · for anyone with a second brain
Searches every page and database in your Notion workspace at once. Ask one question and Claude pulls answers from 12 docs you'd never find by manual search.
Try this
Search my Notion. What did we decide about pricing in the last 3 months? Pull from meeting notes, strategy docs, and decision logs. Quote the exact line and tell me which doc it came from. Why it matters. Turns your second brain into something you can actually query. Stops the “I know we discussed this somewhere” spiral.
Connector 09
Granola · for anyone in back-to-back meetings
Granola records and transcribes every Zoom, Teams, or Meet call you're in. Claude pulls summaries, action items, and drafted follow-up emails from any meeting you point it at.
Try this
Pull yesterday's meeting with Sarah from Granola. Draft me the follow-up email with the 3 key decisions, the action items I owe her, and the open questions we agreed to revisit next week. Match the tone of my last 3 emails to her.Why it matters. Meeting recovery time drops to zero. Action items don't slip. You walk into the next call already prepped.
Connector 10
Gamma · for anyone making slides
Builds a full deck inside Gamma in under a minute. You describe it in plain English. Claude produces the slides. You edit and present.
Try this
Build me a 12-slide deck on Q3 results for my exec team. Use the data from this doc (attached). Open with the headline, end with next steps, use one chart per slide. Match the tone of my last Q2 deck in Gamma (link). Why it matters. Slide-building stops being “create from scratch” and starts being “edit a strong first draft.” A 4-hour deck takes 45 minutes.
Don't try to install all 10 in one sitting. You'll forget which is which. Run them in order over 4 days. Use each one once before moving to the next.
Day 01
Notion, Granola, Canva
The 3 that touch your daily work the most. Install all 3. Run one real prompt on each before bed.
Day 02
Plaid + TurboTax + Credit Karma
Financial visibility. Connect Plaid first, then layer the other two. Spend 15 minutes asking Claude what your money has been doing.
Day 03
AllTrails, Resy, Instacart
Life automation. Pick one to use this weekend. Plan a real hike, a real reservation, or a real grocery run. The connector earns its install in one use.
Day 04
ZipRecruiter, Expedia + Booking, Gamma
The on-demand 3. You won't use them every day, but when you do, they're game-changing. Install them now so they're ready when you need them.
Move 01
Stack 2 connectors in one chat
The real magic isn't one connector. It's two. “Pull yesterday's Granola transcript. Then draft me 3 Canva graphics summarizing the 3 biggest takeaways.” That's a meeting recap and the social post in one chat.
Move 02
Build a Claude Project on your most-used connector
If you use Notion every day, build a Notion Search Project. Upload your role, your team, your goals. Now every Notion search Claude runs for you is already contextualized.
Move 03
Install Cowork plugins that pull from these
Connectors are the foundation. Cowork plugins are the workforce that sits on top. The Marketing plugin uses Canva. The Sales plugin uses Notion. The Small Business plugin uses 7 connectors at once. The full breakdown is in 10 Cowork Plugins That Replace Departments.
If you're brand new to Claude
Connectors are step 3 of becoming AI fluent. If you haven't done steps 1 and 2 yet (picking your models, writing prompts that work, building your first Project), start with Become AI Fluent in 7 Days. It walks you through everything in 30 to 60 minutes a day.
